Through January 4, Stone Mountain Park will be pulling out all of the stops for its annual holiday celebration. There is a fantastic light show, and kids have the chance to meet Rudolph in person. There is also a magical Snow Angel Palace where kids can get their picture taken with the Snow Angel. There’s also an Antebellum Plantation on site decorated in high style.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is an essential part of the holiday season for most residents. The Garden Lights, Holiday Nights extravaganza begins November 15 and runs through January 3. The earlier in the season you go, the less crowded it should be. The lights are truly beautiful, and the incorporation of the Imaginary Worlds topiaries results in a magical experience that the whole family will enjoy. It’s also a great spot for family photos to send out with your holiday cards.

Callanwolde is a great place to include on your tour of Atlanta’s holiday hotspots. From December 1 through 16, the center is open for Christmas at Callanwolde. Visitors can explore the beautiful mansion, where each room is decked out in a different, elaborate holiday theme. There is a marketplace where you can get great little gifts and tasty treats for the family, and visitors of all ages will collectively ooh and ahh at the scenes straight out of a storybook.
