Atlanta Zoo salutes members of the U.S. Armed Forces with a bunch of exciting events and free admission for active military personnel. Friends and family accompanying military member(s) get $4 off. Be prepared to walk and make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Visitors get entertainment and exercise while having fun. The animals and surroundings are beautiful. There’s something for people of all ages, so head to the Atlanta Zoo to celebrate the occasion.

The Wall That Heals comes to Atlanta to honor our Vietnam Veterans. The Georgia Veterans Day Parade Association of Atlanta honors Vietnam Veterans by showcasing “The Wall That Heals” traveling exhibit. The art exhibit features a replica version of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington but on a much smaller scale. The 250 ft. (in length) wall is great for kids and adults alike and is a perfect way to remember veterans on their special day.

Celebrating Veteran’s Day at the World of Coca-Cola provides an enjoyable entertainment and unique tasty experience. Global memorabilia and interactive activities are fun and educational. The end of the experience leads into a room filled with all brands of Coca-Cola products for visitors to try as many flavors as they’d like. It’s great for visitors of all ages.

Veteran’s Day is the perfect day to pack a picnic and head out to Stone Mountain. The park is home to several activities, including shows and a gondolier ride to the top of the mountain.
