“I have a production crew out here. They’ve been planning for multiple weeks, setting up, renting trucks, packing trucks,” said Tailgate Guys General Manager Ernest Firth. The SEC is preparing for a packed stadium. OVID vaccine shots will be available to fans starting at 1:30 p.m., and there’s no mask mandate.

“COVID hampered us last year. We were at roughly 20% last year, but we’re back to full capacity,” said SEC Assistant Commissioner Byron Hatch.

The roads will also be jam-packed with lots of cars and construction. Officials are urging people to use MARTA to help cut back on traffic. Otherwise, fans should arrive early to park in the stadium and Georgia World Congress Center parking lots.

“We’re gonna have select lots open at 7 a.m., since SEC Fanfare begins at 8 a.m. tomorrow and we have College Game Day,” Hatch said.

“There will be a lot of police officers out. We will be working closely with all of our jurisdictions.” They’re reminding people to lock your cars and avoid leaving weapons and other valuable items in your vehicles. “We ask, if you see something suspicious, say something,” Peek said.

The SEC Championship Game a mobile ticket event, so if you have tickets, officials recommend adding them to your phone’s mobile wallet before you arrive at the stadium to avoid possible Internet issues.
