BRIDGEPORT, CT (CW69 News at 10) — The College Park Skyhawks continued their road swing, falling to the Westchester Knicks 123-102 at Webster Bank Arena on Thursday night.
The Knicks led the entire game, opening the first quarter with a 13-point lead. By the intermission, Westchester had pushed their lead out to a 25-point margin. In the third, the Knicks continued to keep their foot on the gas, opening their lead to 31 points before College Park was able to close their deficit to within 12 by the end of the quarter.
That wasn’t enough for the Skyhawks to catch up, however, as the Knicks sealed the victory.
Five Skyhawks players landed in double figures, with Jalen Johnson and Sharife Cooper tallying 19 points each, while Justin Tillman landed 12 points. Malik Ellison and Cat Barber each put up 10 points.
Miles McBride led Westchester with 31 points, while Luka Samanic landed his fifth consecutive 20-point game with 25 points, 16 rebounds and four assists. Aamir Simms put up a career-high 23 points and Brandon Goodwin landed 20 points.
College Park falls to a mark of 0-7 on the season, while Westchester moves to a record of 3-6. The Skyhawks and Knicks will battle once again on Friday night at Webster Bank Arena.
The College Park Skyhawks are the NBA G-League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, while the Westchester Knicks are the G-League affiliate of the New York Knicks.
