Fresh off their first World Series championship in more than a quarter-century, the Atlanta Braves have exercised their 2024 club option for manager Brian Snitker, the team announced Tuesday. Snitker is now under contract for another three seasons.
Snitker, 66, is a Braves lifer who originally joined the organization as an undrafted free agent in 1977. He played four seasons in the minors before jumping into minor league coaching and beginning his ascent up the ladder. Snitker served as Atlanta’s bullpen coach (1985, 1988-90) and third base coach (2007-13) while also doing some coaching and managing in the minors.
