ATLANTA, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) – A dance party for a good cause is happening in Atlanta on September 30, 2021. Party in the Kitchen is back for its 18th year as a fundraiser supporting Open Hand Atlanta. The dance party supports the organization’s mission of delivering healthy meals to people battling or at risk of getting chronic diseases.

Party in the Kitchen was held in 2020 virtually and on a smaller scale, but now it’s back in full force on Thursday night. Twenty of the best chefs in town will serve a variety of cuisines and drinks for the event. Organizers have planned silent and live auctions where those attending can bid for entertainment, travel and fine dining packages. Up to 400 people are expected to attend.

“We rely on these dollars to help provide for people who are battling cancer or HIV or heart disease or renal failure. We want to provide them with the medically tailored nutrition that they need,” said Open Hand Atlanta Executive Director Matthew Pieper.

You can get tickets for the Thursday event up until midnight on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. For more details, click here.
