The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is actively hiring detention officers and deputy sheriffs to join our ranks. A job expo will take place on Saturday, September 25th, to assist in this
effort. FCSO will host the job expo at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, located at 545 Hill St. SE, in Atlanta, from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. In addition to permanent deputy sheriff and detention officer positions, there are part-time, and full-time temporary positions available to those who are Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.) Certified.
Those interested in attending the upcoming job expo are encouraged to bring the following documents.
High School Diploma/Transcript
Proof of Citizenship (Birth Certificate, Passport, Naturalization papers)
Valid Driver’s License
Out-of-State Driver’s History (if applicable)
Final DD-214 (if applicable)

In addition, applicants will be asked to complete the following Physical Fitness Assessment criteria:
1 Mile Run 13 minutes or less
Push-Ups 15 in 60 seconds or less
Sit-Ups 15 in 60 seconds or less
