Aurora Theatre makes a splash with in-person performances this June
Suburban Atlanta theater expands seating capacity for robust summer event schedule

With activities for all ages, Aurora Theatre is the place to be this June! Welcoming skyrocketing star Lace Larrabee to the mainstage and Gilbert Lawand as the headliner for Brew Ha-Ha in the Biergarten at Ironshield Brewing, stand-up comedy fans will enjoy a heavy dose of laughter during Aurora Comedy Nights. The ever-popular Aurora Cabaret Series will return this month with a tribute to American icon Dolly Parton. Continuing to provide a steady stream of culturally rich entertainment to the community, the Aurora Welcomes Series has an impressive string of cabaret events taking place on the Aurora Mainstage including Ladies of the 80’sJessi Little, Big Debut and The Men of Motown.

Saturday, May 29 at 2:30 and 8 p.m.

The totally tubular event of the summer is coming to Aurora Theatre as Independent Artists’ Playhouse returns with Ladies of the ‘80s Cabaret! Audiences will fall head over heels for the radical tribute to ‘80s mega icons like Madonna, Tina Turner, Gloria Estefan, Cyndi Lauper, Diana Ross and more. It is the perfect show for girls (and guys) who just wanna have fun!

Aurora Theatre is introducing a talented artist to Atlanta audiences! Recently arrived from Seattle, Jessi Little is a force of nature as a cabaret vocalist, stand-up comedian and accomplished actor. This cabaret event will be a fun evening of random trivia, laughter and live music featuring hits from Karen Carpenter, Patsy Cline, Kander and Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret) and even the king – Elvis! Music will be performed by Jessi and her ukulele, or a live accompaniment on piano and guitar.

Aurora Welcomes the Independent Artists Playhouse for Men of Motown: A Cabaret Tribute to the Legendary Label! The music of Motown is weaved into the fabric of the American experience. Audiences will recognize songs from motion picture soundtracks, television, radio and their parents’ music collection. The cabaret will pay tribute to Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, The Jackson 5 and other musicians who have graced this label that stands for the sophistication, soul and intelligence of the black man. Get Ready as Aurora Theatre Welcomes Independent Artist Playhouse to perform timeless melodies live and in-person on the mainstage – it will leave attendees singing How Sweet It Is.

Lace Larrabee headlines the summer comedy event at Aurora Theatre! Widely known for her work on stage as one of the country’s hottest touring comedians or her roles on television and film (Queen America, starring Catherine Zeta Jones and Irresistible, starring Steve Carell). She is also host to two podcasts – Cheaties and American Couple Podcast. Audiences can see this very funny lady again, or finally catch her live at a reduced capacity and socially distanced show.

Audiences will be required to wear masks for all indoor events. Indoor performances at Aurora Theatre are available in reserved pod seating. Patrons can choose their seating pod online. Attendees will also be able to see which seats are blocked-out to create social distance. Events at Ironshield Brewing are located outdoors so attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather; seating is general admission on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets for all of these events are on sale here.
