NORCROSS, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) –Gwinnett County police have identified the two victims killed in a vehicular homicide case as Regul Rodriguez-Hernandez, 37, of Norcross, and Jose Lopez-Diaz, 41. Police say a third victim, Ramon Gasper-Carmona, 56, of Norcross, was being treated at a local hospital.
Police arrested Jose Basulto, 40, of Newnan, for allegedly hitting the three victims with his pickup truck. They charged him with two counts of Felony Murder and three counts of Aggravated Assault. Officers said they transported him to the Gwinnett County Jail, where he remains incarcerated.
In the original press release issued on June 9, 2020, Gwinnett County police said there may have been a dispute between Basulto and the victims in a bar at 5265 Jimmy Carter Boulevard before the incident occurred in the parking lot. They said Basulto initially fled he scene, before an off-duty officer located him. He was arrested but not identified until later that night.
