CLARK COUNTY, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced they filed murder charges against Tommy Charles Webb, Jr., age 19, of Athens in the homicides of James Robert Evans, age 27, and Jaymie Whitlock, age 32, in Social Circle.

Webb was in the Clarke Co. jail for a parole/probation violation when the charges were filed according to a GBI statement.

According to a GBI release, in the early hours of May 15, 2020, Social Circle Police Officers responded to Thurman Baccus Road for a report of two individuals found on the road.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a male and a female both with apparent gunshot wounds.  Emergency medical services were summoned; however, both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Social Circle Police requested the GBI to investigate the deaths.
