As businesses close and scale back hours in response to the coronavirus, several companies are re-opening and hiring. Some announced job openings back in March and have continued hiring to fill those and additional positions.

Food Delivery – As restaurants ramp up their takeout and curbside service, making deliveries is vital for businesses and customers during this time. Uber Eats, DoorDash and GrubHub are just a few stops job-seekers can make.

Amazon – The company previously announced it was hiring “100,000 new full and part-time positions across the U.S. in our fulfillment centers and delivery network to meet the surge in demand from people relying on Amazon’s service during this stressful time, particularly those most vulnerable to being out in public.” Click here to view the latest job openings.

CVS Health – “In response to the urgent and increased health care needs of Americans impacted by the COVID-19, Coronavirus, pandemic, we are accelerating a plan to fill more than 50,000 full-time and part-time positions across the country.” Search for jobs here.

Domino’s Pizza – As more people order deliveries and takeout, Domino’s says more workers are needed to fill the demand. Click here to view their openings.

Instacart – The company announced plans on March 23 to hire 300,000 workers over three months “to meet the increasing customer demand for online grocery delivery and pickup in the U.S. and Canada.” Several Care and Shopper jobs are still available in the Atlanta area.

Kroger – The grocery store chain recently announced it was hiring 10,000 workers to help with distribution, manufacturing and in retail stores. The Atlanta division, which includes Georgia, Eastern Alabama and South Carolina, has hired more than 7,800 employees since March 13, and 100,000 employees worldwide, according to a company press release. Lowe’s – The chain has several retail, field and merchandising jobs available the area.

7-Eleven – The convenience store chain announced on its website they are hiring 20,000 store employees due to increased demand.

Walmart – The company announced plans to hire 150,000 hourly associates in March, in addition to its announcement of special cash and early payment bonuses for employees. The website shows they are still hiring across all career areas.
