“Atlanta, Ga. (CW68 News at 10pm)”

(ATLANTA) Atlanta Public Schools (APS) and the Atlanta Board of Education (ABOE) are continuing the annual tradition of honoring hundreds of students across the district for outstanding achievements in academics, arts, athletics, service, and other areas, with a virtual celebration, available on line now.

While the in-person Special Called Board Meeting to honor students is not possible this year due to concerns about the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), the District has created a webpage and video tribute, featuring introductory remarks by ABOE Chair Jason F. Esteves and APS Superintendent Dr. Meria Carstarphen, followed by Dr. Carstarphen reading the names of each honoree in the various categories.

The webpage and video presentation may be viewed here: https://www.atlantapublicschools.us/studentrecognition

It will be available also on APS Channel 22 and the District’s YouTube channel (APStv).
