ATLANTA, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) — The 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll in Georgia, as of the time of the report on May 1, 2020 is 1,140 and the number of confirmed cases is 27,023, based on data reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Confirmed COVID-19 Cases: 29,283

ICU Admissions**: 1,275

Hospitalizations: 5,490

Deaths: 1,219
