ATLANTA, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) — As of noon on April 21, 2020, 799 people in Georgia have died from the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and there are 19,881 confirmed cases, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH).

Of the confirmed cases, the DPH reports 3,779 people (19.01%) have required hospitalization.  The 799 deaths represent 4.01% of the number of confirmed cases.

The DPH has updated its website to include the graphs below, which reflect the Daily Average COVID-19 Cases and Deaths. While the number of deaths and confirmed cases have continued to increase, the graphs appear to indicate the daily averages are starting to decrease. For more data and categories, click here.
