ATLANTA, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) — The Georgia Department of Public Health’s (DPH) records as of noon on April 20, 2020 show 733 people have died from the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and the number of confirmed cases has reached 18,947.
The DPH website tracks data related to the virus under several categories, which include the number of confirmed cases by county, age, race and sex. Below is a breakdown of the COVID-19 deaths in Georgia so far, which shows most people had underlying conditions. To view more data, click here.
