ATLANTA, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) – Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms says restaurants and bars may now add alcoholic beverages to take-out orders, in response to COVID-19. She announced her Administrative Order in a Twitter post that reads:

“Thank you to all who sent helpful info to assist with our bars and restaurants. I’ve signed an Executive Order that will allow them to serve alcohol during this Take-Out only period.”

The Administrative Order prevents Atlanta police from enforcing any

“prohibitions against the sale of unopened wine and/or malt beverages by the package for off premises consumption by restaurants and other eating and drinking establishments licensed for consumption of wine and/or malt beverages which must cease offering dine-in services, but which may continue to prepare and offer food to customers via delivery service, drive-through, or take-out in accordance with any emergency declaration made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, for period not to exceed sixty (60) days.”
