ATLANTA, Ga. (CW69 News at 10) — Police are investigating three drive-by shootings that occurred within a seven-hour period, leaving one man dead and two people injured.

Police identified the deceased victim as Antonio Jones, 18.  They released surveillance video of a vehicle they said was involved in his shooting death at 1700 Stanton Road SW.

Authorities said the first shootings happened on February 3, 2020, before 9:30 p.m. They said officers located one victim at 1510 Rogers Avenue SW and the other one at 736 Cascade Avenue SW. Investigators said both shootings appear to be related and took place at 677 Cascade Avenue SW.

Police said both victims were shot in the lower back and were transported to Grady Hospital in stable condition.

According to police, the victims reported they were approached by an unknown vehicle at the crime scene location, where a suspect fired multiple gun shots and fled the scene.

Seven hours later, on February 4, 2020 around 4:30 a.m., officers said they responded to a shooting at an apartment building at 1700 Stanton Road SW.

They said the building appeared damaged as a result of several rounds of gunfire.

Officers said a bystander there alerted them to the body of Antonio Jones behind the building. They said he had been shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said there is no evidence suggesting the incidents on February 3 and 4 are related.

Investigators said they are looking for suspects and what led to the shootings.
