ATLANTA, GA — Georgia Tech Police warned the campus of a possible gas leak Friday morning, leading to evacuations and the gas being turned off. In a Twitter post the message stated that the leak may have started at the Aerospace Engineering Combustion Lab, 625 Strong Street. There have been no injury reports. A low level concentration of gas was detected, said Atlanta Fire Rescue, who was on the scene.

This is happening just a day after a Hopkins Residence Hall resident reported smelling gas on Thursday close to noon, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The four-story building was evacuated, but no gas leak was found, spokesman Joshua Stewart told the AJC.
