ATLANTA, GA — Severe weather around Atlanta caused officials at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to request all inbound flights to be held at their origin until 10:30 a.m. on Friday. As of noon, the ground stop has been lifted.
The National Weather Service said parts of north and central Georgia will see a round of moderate to heavy rain today which could cause nuisance flooding due to poor drainage and some rises on smaller creeks and rivers. No widespread flooding is anticipated.
