ATLANTA (AP) — Authorities say a man described as wearing an “angry clown mask” shot a customer at a Waffle House in Atlanta.
News outlets report the customer was taken to a hospital in stable condition after being shot in the neck Tuesday.
Police say a man was seen pacing in the parking lot. That man then entered the restaurant’s restroom.
Capt. Andrew Senzer says the man exited the restroom with the mask on, produced a gun and essentially demanded the belongings of the people in the restaurant.
Police say the man grabbed the cash register and made his way out in a vehicle. The gunman also fired back into the store, striking the victim in the neck.
Police say the car was found but the suspect is still on the run.
