Women and men gathered at the capitol to attend the Equal Rights Amendment Capitol Day support and rally for equal rights for women. The event was hosted by hosted by The National Task Force against Domestic Violence and Representative Billy Mitchell, who sponsored the bill.

The organization’s chairman, Pastor Sabrina McKenzie, brought together various speakers including; Award-Winning Singer, Angie Stone, Best-Selling Author, Zane, Women’s Activist Nellie Duke, and WIN List Executive Director, Melita Easters.

Currently, Georgia is one of 14 states that have not passed the amendment and McKenzie spoke with 1380 WAOK News Anchor Amanda Cooper and talked about why it’s important that women support this amendment.
