Dekalb County police are working to find the man responsible for shooting and killing a post office worker late Monday night.
Investigators have identified the victim as 22-year-old Tyrika Terrell.
According to police, the accused shooter is Terrell’s boyfriend and father of their infant child, Quantez D’Ante Tyre.
The shooting took place at the United States Postal Service on Wesley Chapel Road and Snap Finger Road in Decatur.
Investigators say Tyre waited for Terrell at a Coin Laundry across the street before walking up and shooting her in the head.
The Terrell was taken to a local hospital where she later died.
Both federal and local authorities are working to determine the motive to the crime and to apprehend the “armed and extremely dangerous” Tyre. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 160 pounds.
