There are spooky Halloween events, and then there are houses and buildings that are spooky because they may be to be haunted by ghostly spirits of the dead. Atlanta has some of the best Halloween haunted houses and trails, which will scare your socks off. But for those readers who want to check out a haunted house that has ghostly apparitions appearing frequently, well, Atlanta has a lot of those places, too. So, pick your favorite from the list below and go have a hauntingly good time in Atlanta.
Room Escape Atlanta

Zombies, murderers, ghosts and more can be found at this venue. Try to escape from a room before the zombie gets you, or try to get out of jigsaw’s basement before he finds you, or one of the other escape room activities offered by Room Escape Atlanta. Ticket prices vary depending on the escape room chosen and how many are in your group. This is not designed for very young children, but kids 8 and up are welcome to go into the rooms with parents. So come on out and enter into one of the movie-like rooms and see if you can escape the terror.
The Kennesaw House

The Marietta Museum of History is now occupying the Kennesaw House but the ghostly hauntings continue to this day. Visitors to the building have reported seeing what seems to be a crowded, gruesome-looking hospital room, hearing men screaming in agony, seeing ghostly surgeons operating on screaming patients, and lots of blood. One ghostly surgeon even like to ride the elevator! So, come out to Kennesaw House, aka The Marietta Museum of History and check it out. Bring your camera because you never know what might appear.

This is the 27th year that Camp Blood has been offering a frighteningly good time for visitors to Carrollton. Open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, some Sundays, this venue is not for the faint at heart. Camp Blood offers a haunted house, games, a haunted trail, and even a Zombie Shoot. Tickets start at $20.00. This venue is not designed for children under five and parents must accompany children at all times. Camp Blood is so popular that people come from surrounding states to take part in this ‘Redneck Halloween’ event.

Netherworld Haunted House

Netherworld, one of the top haunted houses in the area, uses animatronics, live actors, special effects, and unique themes to give it’s visitors the scariest Halloween event possible. Admission starts at $23.00 increases depending on how much you see and do at the venue. Netherworld is a multi-floor venue so be sure to dress appropriately. Children may wear Halloween costumes, but adults should refrain from wearing costumes.
2017 Georgia A-Scary-Um
Let’s not forget the little ones who want to enjoy spookiness. The Georgia Aquarium is having their annual Graveyard Smash-up each weekend during the Halloween season. Frankenstein and his bride, Dracula, Igor, and more spooky favorites will be visiting the aquarium for an evening of fun. Sing and dance with your favorite monster to Halloween monster hits from the 70’s and 80’s. This is sure to be a spooktacular event for the whole family.
