Georgia Tech Head Coach Paul Johnson joined John and Hugh on Friday morning to talk about his team’s big National match-up against Tennessee on Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Hugh asks if he gets butterflies and excitement to get that first game underway. Johnson’s response was very even keel but on the inside, he said you definitely have to have that kind of feeling. It’s the players that show the emotion on the outside. As far as naming a starting quarterback, Johnson didn’t feel like it was anyone’s business besides his players, who’ve known for weeks who will be playing. The media, and Tennessee for that matter, don’t need that information. Paul Johnson is hoping the fans come out in droves to make it feel like a home-field advantage.
