Two longtime African-American  members of the Young Democrats organization said they were fed up with the Young Democrats of America and their unwillingness to truly combat the issues of race both externally and within the organization. John Jackson (President of the DeKalb Young Democrats & Political Director of the Young Democrats of GA) and Bridgemon Bolger (outgoing Vice-Chair of The Black Caucus of the Young Democrats of America) expressed frustrations with the latest leadership elections for YDA and spoke on race relations in the organization and country.
