FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The newest member of the Atlanta Falcons made a splash almost instantly upon becoming a member of the Falcons. The city of Atlanta has already embraced the young pass-rusher.

Takkarist McKinley, who made a promise to his grandmother to fulfill his NFL dreams right before she passed away, spilled his emotions while talking to Deion Sanders of the NFL Network Thursday. He shared a short part of the story of the promise to his grandmother, dropped a few f-bombs and then shouted, “Fine me later, man.”

The impromptu speech was one of the most emotional outbursts in NFL draft history. And while they’ll probably talk to the rookie about the f-bombs, the Falcons didn’t shy away from backing McKinley’s moment.

“We’ll appreciate that kind of enthusiasm,” Dan Quinn said of McKinley’s expletive-laden interview.
