Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson joined The Dukes & Bell Show Monday to talk about the Yellow Jackets’ recent spring game. Johnson said he doesn’t put a lot of stock in the results from the T-Day game, but called the event a success.

He did, however, say that injured quarterback Matthew Jordan was the front-runner entering spring and the other three QBs “need to beat him out” if they planned on sitting atop the depth chart.

New rules in college football were another topic, including adding a 10th assistant coach and the recruiting calendar.

The conversation meandered to former tech QB Justin Thomas. Johnson is fairly high on Thomas, who has been working our for NFL teams as a receiver as well as a passer.
