The Falcons continue to get ready for their trip to LA as they practiced yesterday, Julio Jones, Jake Matthews, and Mohammed Sanu all missed practice on Thursday. Hugh said “I think he will go, I wouldn’t expect to see the same Julio you normally see but, he’s a warrior and I expect to see him out there.”

In other Falcons news, Cornerback Robert Alford’s contract was extended as the team gave him a 4-year $38 million dollar contract, with $21 million guaranteed. Hugh said “He’s played well in the last few weeks, and to be honest they got a steal with him because he would have gotten way more in free agency.”

The Kansas City Chiefs continued their winning ways as they beat Oakland last night 21-13 to take control of the AFC West, the win moves the Chiefs into sole possession of first place. The loss drops the Raiders from the number one seed in the AFC all the way down to the fifth seed in the AFC.
