The Falcons start preparing for the Cardinals today as they resume practice after an off day, the team added punter Matt Wile to the 53-man roster. Wile previously spent time with the Cowboys and the Panthers.

Make it a three game losing streak for the Hawks who were run out of their own building by the Pelicans Tuesday night 112-94. They trailed by 30-plus points for most of the second half. Dwight Howard played just 18 minutes before starters were pulled, the Pelicans did all of this despite missing Anthony Davis for most of the game after he suffered a knee injury in the first quarter. Now the Hawks start their longest road trip of the year tonight at Indiana.

No surprises in the new set of College Football Playoff committee rankings released Tuesday. The top four is intact with Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan and Clemson. Washington and Wisconsin are the first two teams outside the top four. In other college football news Tuesday the NCAA vacated two seasons worth of wins for Notre Dame after finding a student athletic trainer committed a series of violations. The penalties effect the 2012 and 2013 seasons where the Irish won 21 games.
