After consecutive weeks facing two of the league’s toughest defensive units, the Falcons offense is humming right along against the Chargers 19th ranked unit. They opened the game with field goals on their first two drives, then started to punch the ball into the end zone.
First it was Matt Ryan finding his tight end Jacob Tamme. Then, on the team’s next drive, it was Tevin Coleman’s turn as he took the handoff from Ryan and sprinted 30 yards through the heart of the Chargers defense into the end zone for another touchdown.
The touchdown was Coleman’s fifth rushing TD of the season and it gave the Falcons a 20-10 lead.
