It’s game week for the Falcons, who began their preparations for Sunday’s season opener against Tampa with a Monday practice.  It’s an early jump into the fire with a divisional game in week one, Hugh said “It’s been an up and down preseason, but I think they are going to come out and play well and give us what we want in a victory.”

A wild one in college football Monday night with fourth ranked Florida State scoring 33 unanswered points to come from way back and beat number 11 Ole Miss 45-34. Hugh said “They were getting handled, it was ugly in that first half, but that’s why you play the second half.”

In Washington Monday Braves starter Ryan Webber was roughed up for five runs in the third inning en route to a 6-4 loss to the Nationals.  Game two of the series is tonight with Williams Perez and Gio Gonzalez on the mound.
