It’s back to work today for the Falcons who have four straight days of padded practices starting today as training camp enters its second week. Julio Jones is expected to fully participate today after slowly working his way back from an unspecified tweak.
The University of Georgia opened Fall practice yesterday in Athens, as Kirby Smart said the goal of camp was to learn the identity of the team. The biggest news of the day though was Nick Chubb participating in drills with the running backs, Hugh said “You have to bring him along slowly, the main thing is you want to get him comfortable toting the ball again, and hopefully he will be ready to go when the season starts.”
Monday afternoon also brought about the non-waiver trade deadline in baseball with the Rangers among the most active teams acquiring Carlos Beltran from the Yankees and Jonathan Lucroy from the Brewers. The Mets were able to snag Jay Bruce from the Reds.
