Thousands of Hawks fans joined us last night at Philips Arena to watch the 2016 NBA Draft.

Part Owner Grant Hill was on hand and got the crowd all fired up with our own Ryan Cameron. John Michaels joined in as well. Everyone had an opinion on where the Hawks should go with these picks, especially in the wake of the Teague trade news.

So, we took to Twitter for some VERY unscientific polls to see what you guys thought about some of the picks from last night.

First up, Taurean Prince, taken at #12 (technically by the Jazz, and then traded to the Hawks). The pundits across the land thought this pick was a reach, big time. They all thought he would be there later and that he was just duplicating skills we already have.

And some of you guys thought he would work out just fine:

But most of you agreed with the pundits… you guys gave this one a “C”.

Moving on to the Hawks’ second pick of the night, at #21, DeAndre’ Bembry.

The 6-foot-6 Bembry won numerous conference and national honors. He averaged 17.7 points / 7.8 rebounds per game in 2014-15 and 17.4 points / 7.8 rebounds per game this past season. He’s consistent.

Hawks’ GM Wes Wilcox says, “We say in our room, ‘He’s a good Hawks fit’.”

And you guys agreed:

A whopping 44% of you gave this pick a “B”.

The pick at #44, Isaia Cordinier, came too late in the evening to get much reaction, but we are going to run some polls on this one today. We’ll update this article with that info once we obtain it, probably on Monday.

Thanks so much for the huge turn out at the Hawks Draft party! Here’s to a great 2016-17 season!
