An incredible individual effort has propelled the Cavs to the NBA title as Lebron James posts a 27 point triple-double in Game Seven of the NBA Finals, leading Cleveland to a 93-89 win and the city’s first professional sports championship since 1964,  James was the clear choice for Finals MVP.  Hugh said “You’re going to be talking about him (James) in the same breath as Michael Jordan sooner than you think, his legacy is still being written.” The Warriors had only 13 points in the fourth quarter and did not score in the final four minutes.  They’re the first team ever to blow a 3-1 series lead in the Finals.

The Braves are on their first five game win streak in a year and will try to continue it tomorrow in Miami against the Marlins.  But they lost Mallex Smith Sunday to a broken thumb in their 6-nothing win over the Mets, he’s out indefinitely.

Another long wait for a championship ended Sunday at the US Open with Dustin Johnson winning his first career major by three strokes.  Jim Furyk,  Scott Piercy and Shane Lowery were all tied for second at Oakmont.
