On a cool, crisp, early Spring morning in late May, most of the 92-9 The Game staff gathered at Emory University to once again take over the Flag Football field and competition.

This is something we’ve done for several years now, and it’s something we look forward to each and every Spring.

The kids and families begin pouring in as early as 5 a.m. on that morning, still laughing and carrying over their fun from the night before’s Opening Ceremonies. The parents and coaches trying to keep the kids and athletes corralled and focused… the kids and athletes laughing and playing with their old friends, and their now ones.

The football games get underway around 7:30 a.m. and our own underboss Sean Thompson takes his place on the sidelines as one of the official coaches.

For the next few hours, this is the only place on Earth.

Meanwhile, up in Olympic Town the vendors are set up, the booth games are underway and Robb Tribble and Randy McMichael are doing their show live.

Guests line-up to go on the air with the guys, from Special Olympians to parents and coaches.
