Today on Real Estate 101, Mary Gill gets a new prospective on the financial industry by talking to a young man that started his career as a banker at a young age. His name is Maurioin Watkins, and he is a thirteen year banking and financial services industry veteran that has worked for Wells Fargo, HSBC, and JPMorgan Chase. During his eight years with Wells Fargo, he was ranked within the top one percent of loss mitigation professionals nationally and served on an elite team that was tasked with handling high visibility troubled assets. He coordinated the resolution underwriting process for various GSE loan portfolios held by Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, USDA, and FHA and successfully mitigated $300 million dollars of potential losses in non-performing mortgage debt between 2009 and 2014. He also worked with high profile private investor loan portfolios held by UBS, Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs.
