The Top 5 Sports Callers of the week is a weekly installment from CBS Local Sports that will bring you the wildest callers from across the nation.

Number 5: In this week’s episode we start with Scott from Detroit who called in to the Valenti and Foster show on 97.1 The Ticket to tell the guys why he’s done with the Tigers this season.

Number 3: The number three caller this week was James from McDonough, GA calling in to the Rick and Jamie show on 92.9 The Game because he wants to ramp up the pressure on University of Georgia head football coach Mark Richt.

Number 2: The two spot goes to Anthony from Belleville, NJ who hopped on with Boomer and Carton on WFAN to nickname the Yankees after a children’s book. 

Number 1: Finally, the top spot is Tony from Akron who called in to Kiley and Carman on 92.3 The Fan to weigh in on a discussion about game worn collectible items. He thinks that LeBron’s stuff probably doesn’t smell at all.
