Suspended Dekalb County CEO Burrell Ellis was sentenced serve 18 months in prison after being convicted of perjury and attempted theft by extortion. Ellis was offered a plea deal that would have allowed him to avoid serving prison time and being charged with a felony.

After the sentencing Dekalb County District Attorney Robert James called in to Real Talk and spoke with Rashad Richey about the trial and the case as a whole.
