It was a tough Mets series and the bull pen continues to struggle, but there is a lot of baseball left and moves are being made. So, don’t be that guy and throw in the towel yet. With that, the Braves are back Wednesday for a quick 5 game home stand, first hosting the Red Socks followed by the Mets. Here are some of the events going on. This is straight from the Braves Press Release with my thoughts added in.

Wednesday June 17th – The MLB Ballpark App is a free App that keeps you in the know about all things MLB and Braves. You can check in while at Turner Field and we are always giving good stuff away to random, lucky fans. Wednesday the “Check In Offer” includes free foam Tomahawks and Academy Sports and Outdoors Gift Cards.
Thursday June 18th – Its COLLEGE NIGHT (Read: Lots of drunk UGA Fans chanting throughout the stadium and AU fans trying to out cheer said Dawgs and a few GT Kids complaining about all the drunk UGA students). With your Student ID, you can get a $20 ticket, which includes $10 of food. Plus – after the game, college kids can run the bases. That’s going to be a drunk, sloppy mess.
New York Mets vs Atlanta Braves – June 19th – 21st (Heritage Weekend)
Friday June 19th – Its Heritage Weekend, and there will be a big pre-game ceremony with Hank Aaron giving out an award to a local Civil Rights Leader. After the game, its Friday Night Fireworks! (8 mins of boom, pow, wooaahhh and coooollll). With the MLB Ballpark App, someone will unlock the chance to sit on the field to watch fireworks and we are also giving out a mystery prize. I honestly have no idea what it will be, but usually that means something we have leftover from other events. So, bobbleheads, water bottles and/or Braves t-shirts.
Saturday, June 20 – That morning is the Braves Country 5K. So, if you are in decent shape and want to spend your Saturday morning running through Downtown Atlanta, go for it. The cool part is that the finish line is inside Turner Field and you get a t-shirt and ticket to the game later that night. For more information, visit www.Braves.com/bravescountry5k.
Also Saturday – look for the Braves to wear the Atlanta Black Crackers uniforms in honor of Heritage Weekend. Following the game, they will autograph the jerseys and put up for auction at Braves.com with proceeds helping local charities.
Furthermore – Saturday night, Boyz II Men take the stage for a free post-Game Concert! The show is free with your ticket and you can purchase field passes at the game.READ MORE: Atlanta School Renamed For Baseball Legend Hank Aaron

Sundays are always Alumni Sundays at The Ted. Two hours before the game, fans can catch Braves alumni Greg McMichael and Jesse Garcia for autographs in the Plaza.
And after the game, kids 14 and under can run the bases.
My family will be out of town this weekend, so if you want to call me Dad, that’s cool! No wait, that sounded really creepy, nevermind.
