BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a Wayne County pharmacy technician has pleaded guilty to conspiring to illegally distribute thousands of prescription pain pills.
Authorities say 37-year-old Buffie Bradford pleaded guilty in the case this week and a sentencing date has not been set.
Prosecutors say Bradford stole more than 48,000 pills from Wayne Memorial Hospital, where she worked, so they could be sold on the streets.
Authorities say medications that were stolen included hydrocodone, and Xanax.
