Uber is an app-based transportation network and taxi company which uses a smartphone application to receive ride requests, and then send these requests to their drivers.
The fan typed his home address in Mississippi into the app. The game was played at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
The fan laid down and passed out in the cab. When he woke, he found out he was charged $908 for the ride.
It was initially reported that the fan was actually dropped off at his Mississippi residence. However, a representative from Uber told CollegeSpun that the passenger was dropped off at the hotel he was staying at within the Atlanta region. The Uber representative said the price was correct due to the intense demand and because he entered an incorrect address.READ MORE: Board Of Health To Transition Appointments To New State System
