MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — Cobb County prosecutors say a man who stole an iPod from a teenager has been given a 20-year sentence.
District Attorney’s spokeswoman Kim Isaza says 20-year-old Shareef Tawwab Hakim was convicted of robbery and aggravated assault in the Oct. 22 attack on a teen who was sitting outside his family’s apartment.
Prosecutors say Hakim approached the 16-year-old boy from behind, put him in a headlock and stole his iPod.
Hakim was ordered to spend 12 years in prison and the rest of his sentence on probation.
