1. Matt Ryan was the best QB of week 1 of the NFL season. throwing for 448 yards and 3 TD’s and no picks. Ryan also had the highest QB rating at 128. Ryan was clutch down the stretch and easily earns top honors this week.
  1. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 365 yards and 1 TD in the Steelers win over the Browns. Roethlisberger has struggled as of late, but looked much more like the Ben of old yesterday. If he maintains that level of play the Steelers might bounce back this year.
  1. Jay Cutler’s Bears lost to the Bills 23-20, but he had 349 yards with 2 TD’s and 2 picks with a 86.2 QB rating. Cutler wasn’t stellar, but performed at a level high enough to earn him 3rd place honors this week.
  1. Andrew Luck, in a losing effort, had 370 yards and 2 TD’s and 2 interceptions in a 31-24 lost to Broncos. Luck finished fourth in our list this week, mainly because of the 2 INT’s and the loss. Not a bad outing as far as yards and TD’s though.
  1. Joe Flacco had 345 yards in loss to Bengals and a TD. Joe rounds out the list of Top 5 QB’s after week one.
