Many African Americans celebrate the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, and many other patriotic holidays; however many do not celebrate  Junetheeth because many do not know what it is.  Juneteeth also known as Juneteeth Independence Day, Freedom Day, or Emancipation Day is an American holiday recognizing the abolition of slavery in these United States.  Yalanda Lattimore discussed how important this holiday should be for all African Americans and why one should recognize and celebrate Juneteeth just like all other holidays.
