Today on Real Talk with Rashad Richey, our special guest was Ambassador Andrew Young. Ambassador Young stopped by Real Talk to inform the community of the Andrew Young Foundation’s 2nd Pass on Blessings Awards Ceremony. The Pass on Blessings Award is given to accomplished individuals whose philanthropy and actions have made a positive impact in the lives of others. The Andrew Young Foundation will also be celebrating the 82nd birthday of its founders Andrew Young.

This year’s honorees include President Lyndon Johnson (posthumously), Hall of Fame Baseball Player Hank Aaron, Architect and Real Estate Developer John Portman, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Herman Russell, and Grammy Award Winner Stevie Wonder. These men and their spouses are being recognized for their life and work to help build Atlanta’s skyline, and contributions in business, philanthropy, sports, entertainment, and human and civil rights which were instrumental in breaking down racial barriers, and racial and economic injustice in America and creating a legacy that continues to make an impact on Atlanta and the world.

The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 6:00 pm at the Buckhead Theatre, 3110 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA 30305 in Atlanta, Georgia.
