Atlanta Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff joins the show to discuss the 2014 NFL Draft.

Dimitroff shared “To protect our investment in Matt Ryan was very important going forward. We’re very excited about having that sort of cornerstone player in our organization for years to come,” speaking on the No. 6 overall pick Jake Matthews.

When asked about his draft position rounds 2-7, Thomas Dimitroff answered “The fact that we’re at the top of the rounds is a really good feeling for us because it gives us the opportunity to potentially move back and we’re in a spot that most teams want to potentially be in during the next rounds”.

Speaking on potential trade opportunities during the first round, Dimitroff said “St.Louis and Jacksonville were the most interesting, but knowing where we were as things were unfolding, I’m very happy that we were patient and that I stood firm and we got who we needed to get.”

Finally he addresses rumors about the Falcons trading for Chiefs safety Eric Berry.

Dimitroff ended the interview by sharing “There will be some interesting things that could take place in the next couple of rounds.”
