On the 4-18-14 edition of the HBCU Report we were joined by FAMU’s Kellen Winslow, Sr.

Winslow replaces interim athletic director Michael Smith, who was on the job for 10 months.

Smith had replaced Derek Horne, who was fired last June after three years. During Horne’s tenure, the school went through a hazing scandal involving the Marching 100 band.Audio

Winslow, 56, played nine NFL seasons with the San Diego Chargers. He was a five-time All-Pro selection and caught 541 passes for 6,741 yards and 45 touchdowns during his career.
