Chipper Jones has been in the news more in the last week than any other time since his retirement. From setting the woods outside his house on fire by dumping hot ashes from his fireplace out to now rescuing Freddie Freeman from the ice covered roads of Hoth, I mean, Atlanta.

The roads here were and are treacherous this week. The south is in no way prepared for this kind of icing and when it hits like it did yesterday and then all businesses and schools close at the same time, well, that’s a recipe for disaster. Millions of people on ice covered roads all at once. Some of which are still not home 20 hours later. They slept in their cars in the 17 degree temps.

Well Chipper Jones was having none of that! He has a 4×4 ATV for hunting and it came in handy last night.

Freddie Freeman was one of those Atlantans caught in the traffic jam they’ll be talking about for years.
