MINNEAPOLIS – Former Collins Hill High School standout Maya Moore scored 23 points and her Minnesota Lynx held the Atlanta Dream to 31.2 percent shooting in an 84-59 victory in Game One of the WNBA Finals.
The Dream struggled early, going to the locker room with a 19 point halftime deficit. Star player Angel McCoughtry led the team with 17 points, but only on 6-of-24 shooting.
Game Two of the best-of-five finals series will be Tuesday night at Minnesota’s Target Center. The series comes back to Atlanta for Game Three on Thursday night.
