One of Atlanta’s biggest Labor Day celebrations, Dragon Con science fiction and fantasy convention, drew at least 55,000 fans to 5 host hotels in downtown this weekend. Dress mode was costume, cosplay or geek-chic attire, highlighted by a parade on Peachtree Rd. and Peachtree Center Avenue on Saturday morning.

Passes for next year’s event, running from August 29, 2014 – September 1, 2014, are already on sale on dragoncon.org for the next two weeks at the discounted price of $65 for a four-day pass.

DragonconTV, a volunteer-run group that produces entertaining videos that show during the convention in panels and host hotels, created an ambitious parody video of “Thrift Shop” titled “Comic Book Shop.” Watch the video below.
